Writing Compositions



Here, you are going to find some tips that explain how to write a good composition.

TIPS:

1.- Remember to WHO you are writing.
2.- If the composition is very important, you must remember that you have to write FORMAL. Depending in your public, you decide if you write FORMAL or INFORMAL.
3.-Be organize.
4.-If you wrote your notes and you put them in order, you can write it with your style and language to give it personality.
5.-You must check if your composition cover all the information that your public need.
6.-Is better if you write in third person.
7.-Experiment with a variety of sentence beginnings. You can begin with a subject followed by an adjective, an adverb, adjective, present simple,etc.
8.-Remember and use the seven C’s of composition:
         *Bullet* Clarity - the writing is clear, lucid
         *Bullet* Coherence - parts of the writing "stick" together, are connected
         *Bullet* Completeness - no parts are missing, has a beginning, middle, and end
         *Bullet* Conciseness - condensed, brief, no extra, unneeded padding 
         *Bullet* Concreteness - solid, united
         *Bullet* Continuity - continues in sequence or order
         *Bullet* Correctness - rightness, rectification of errors, revised without errors
9.- Spell correctly.
10.-Use correct punctuation and capitalization.
11.- Use passive an active voice.
